This was the perfect property for a long-weekend getaway with family to visit our 90-year-old aunt. Staying lakeside added just that little “something”. There was a small hiccup with check-in, but Joan was very responsive and it was resolved within minutes. Also, though we didn’t get to take advantage due to a delayed flight, she was willing to accommodate an earlier check-in time for us, and allowed us to stay a bit longer as well, which eased our departure.We were able to take the canoe out on the lake for a lovely morning paddle, and if we’d had one more night we would’ve taken advantage of the firepit too.Having stayed at various bed and breakfasts, the one thing I’ve come to expect that wasn’t there was a “welcome to our cottage” book, binder, or page with details about how to leave the bedding, dishes, etc - but we got along just fine without it, and did our best to leave things in good order.I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, and thoroughly recommend a mid-May visit for lovely just-right weather!

The property in Gray was very clean and has comfortable sleeping arrangements. Communication with the host was excellent and she was very accommodating. Beautiful views of the lake! We visited at a time when the water level was very low so we didn't get to do as many water activities as originally planned but we still had a blast. The fire pit and large deck are perfect for eating dinner alongside the lake or roasting s'mores at night. It is a multi-unit but it never felt like it. We hardly saw the neighbors and when we did, everyone was very friendly! The inside of the home was nearly sound proofed from the nearby street traffic and neighbors. The home is close to many nearby attractions and just a short drive to larger areas such as Freeport and Portland. Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay on the water!
