Casa del Gobernador

This was a beautiful, artsy house which was very well located. All the finishes and furniture embodied old Seville. There was good blend of old and modern in this updated house. It was spacious for a family of 4. The views of the Cathedral were amazing. There are 4 floors so a lot of steps but there is a tiny elevator that was very convenient for moving baggage and groceries up and down. The bathrooms took some getting used to since there is no divider between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so water splashes everywhere. However, the drainage worked very well so not a big deal. The bathroom of the ground floor did have a shower stall. The only real complaint was the A/C. Seville gets baking hot in the summer and though each room has a thermostat the A/C really struggled to keep the place cool. In fact we were told that we must close all the room doors during the day so it could be cool enough at night. Not a big deal since we were out most of the day anyway, however, it was still warm at night in the bedrooms. The bedroom at the top of the house never got cool, so we gave up and moved into one of the bedrooms downstairs. The only rooms that really stayed cool was the living room and the middle bedroom on the 3rd floor. The host was very responsive and the house was nice and clean. All in all this was a great spot with a lot of character.
