Zona tranquillissima! La casa è molto grande a due piani, fresca e caratteristica! Si trova vicino a due ampi parcheggi trovati sempre liberi e a 10 min a piedi dall’imbarco per raggiungere la barchetta per La Valletta! Asciugamani e servizi a disposizione giornalmente! Ottimo Host sempre disponibile!

Very good position for walking to the marina, for public transport and for generally getting around. The house was very clean and a good experience to live in this type of property.

The property is in a pedestrian only zone and is quite noisy. It is typically Maltese, no windows downstairs so quite dark but fine with the lights on. There were some very noisy neighbours (locals) who were shouting at each other until the early hours of the morning (3am) and again early morning. Not sure whether we were just unlucky or if it’s the norm. Also you need to watch where you’re walking as quite a bit of cat fouling on the streets. This is an area where lots of the houses are being renovated. It is also on the flight path at times so there can be quite a bit of noise from aeroplanes. The wardrobe is fine for trousers and shirts but has a dividing shelf halfway down so no good for hanging dresses. The bed is big and comfortable but noisy.

Suspicious (to me) supply of initially incorrect key lock box code and internet log on code on day of arrival. Not being constantly obsessed with checking my phone (I am 71 years old), I missed the last minute "changes" supplied by the host. So in the dark, after 12 hours of travel; I was required to phone the host. He referred me to his message of 1 hour previously, and seemed to think I was to blame for not reading it. The drain plug in the bathroom sink was solidly jammed. The hosts enquiry regarding my situation on day 2 of my stay appeared (to me) disingenuous, as I don't believe he was ignorant of the bathroom sink situation. The last minute check in changes; and the prompting to request a repair visit, reminded me of some of the untrusting and suspicious hosts more commonly found on airbnb. It would come as no surprise (to me) if there was a form of remote monitoring taking place inside the house. This was my 9th stay in Malta over a 22 year period; staying in hotel, airbnb and booking.com accommodation. The host here, a Maltese National; will predictably claim total innocence. Whatever.
