Appartement des Marins

Awesome property in the best town. We stayed in an apartment with a pull out bed for the kids, they loved it. Kitchen was handy to have for breakfasts and when we didn’t feel like eating out. There is a small grocery store in town and lots of great restaurants nearby. Easy walk to the beach. Apartment was clean and comfortable.

This apartment at the Hotel des Marins was ideal in many ways. The location is fantastic for exploring the old town of St Malo, with so much within walking distance. The apartment gave more space than a typical hotel room, the bed was comfy and the sofa bed unusually comfortable too. The kitchen was nice to have but there are so many lovely cafes, creperies and restaurants nearby that we didn't attempt to cook for ourselves. I wasn't keen on the slightly musty and dusty staircase approach to the apartment, and it was warm and noisy overnight with voices echoing along the lovely old narrow streets as we needed to have the windows open for air (it was still very warm). However, I'm not sure this would be any different in any of the hotels in the old town, unless you can find one with aircon.

This was a very nice stay, with great accommodations. No real criticisms to list.
