Sol Tropikal Durres

Beautiful grounds, pools, & beach. Very nice buffet breakfast included. Meal plan is expensive, but there are many nice seafood / Italian restaurants on the beach promenade 1.5 km south ( an easy walk or quick taxi ride). The beach is lovely with great swimming once you wade beyond the shallow sand bar 25 m from shore. Unfortunately a naval facility on the south border patrols their fence and prohibits Long Beach walks on their shore, but tourists had no problem walking the beach Northward after wading around a fence on that side. Overall - an excellent resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Sol Tropikal in Durrës. The entire team was extremely polite, friendly, and always helpful. We were especially impressed by the cleanliness throughout the hotel – everything was well-maintained and spotless. A special thank you goes to Marlen at the reception, whose kindness and professionalism made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for everything, we would be happy to come back again!

Bar in restaurant only had one flat prosecco which I sent back as it was vile. They said that they had no alternative. One of the swimming pools was thick with stagnant algi and pute green, so we couldnt use it
