Charming House DD724

The Charming House Staff were informative, helpful and attentive. Fabulous location near the Guggenheim, the Grand Canal, the Accademia, the Accademia Bridge, and several very good restaurants! The hotels breakfast was individually cooked for each person/couple and had a nice number of options from eggs and bacon to fruit and yogurt and nicely accommodated my need for Gluten Free and Dairy Free foods. The photo above, is of the room we stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. It was spacious, plenty of closet space, and serviced every day. The bathroom was clean and compact, and the shower was just large enough. Nice quality robes and towels. Two local good restaurants were: La Calcina on the water, and Taverna San Trovaso, near the Accademia.

Another guest who was loud, opinionated and complaining at breakfast every morning. We were impressed with how staff handled her. Oh well.

Excellent location in general. Easy access to traghetto, right next to Guggenheim museum; not far from the Accademia. A number of restaurants in easy walking distance. Superb fresh cooked breakfast every day. And, of course, wonderful coffee. Staff very helpful for any type of query. Stayed in 2 different rooms. Both spacious and fresh towels supplied every day.

Lighting in the room could’ve been brighter.

Conveniently located, comfortable, staff was accommodating, cheerful ,gave excellent recommendations. Alicia went out of her way to make sure we found excellent local restaurants. Breakfast was amazing.
