Absolutely amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the yard is well maintained, and the pool was clean and well cared for. The home itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. Short walk to the beach! Restaurants, Gas and groceries a 5 minute drive! We especially appreciated the complimentary Friday cleaning service a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more enjoyable.Richard and Lena were exceptional hosts who truly went above and beyond. One of our friends accidentally left his passport at the house after checkout, and Richard arranged for someone to drive three hours to Lisbon Airport to deliver it. That level of service and care is remarkable and speaks volumes what kind of hosts they are, so greatly appreciated.The only drawbacks for us were the lack of air conditioning and the firmness of the beds. The listing states AC but you need to read the fine print. There is no AC at this property. Despite the evening breeze, the bedrooms remained quite warm at night, making sleep somewhat uncomfortable. The mattresses were also firmer than what our group is accustomed to, though we understand this is a matter of personal preference.Overall, this is a beautiful property with outstanding hosts, and we would happily recommend it to others. Beautiful, well appointed villa which made for a really comfortable stay. The heated pool was lovely and the sea views are spectacular!Richard and Lena are the loveliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for!

A very nice property within a 5 minute walk of Martinhal beach. The pool is amazing and kept comfortably warm, which is especially nice in the evenings when temperatures turn cooler. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive away. Richard and Lena are extraordinarily nice hosts, who live on the property in a separate home and eager to help with anything. They will meet you upon arrival to tour the house and again when you depart to hand off the keys. A few things to know: 1. As stated in the listing, there is no air conditioning. We're told that is not uncommon because of typical weather in Sagres. But, we were there during a heatwave and it was unbearable at night. Because all the windows and sliding doors are without screens, we closed them at night. There are no fans circulating air inside and it is quite uncomfortable in high temperatures. 2. Bedding does not include top sheet, so sleeping is either with a duvet or blanket. With hot weather, it is not ideal. No extra bedding of any kind is available. 3. Unless you want to use body wash as shampoo, bring your own. Overall, a very nice property and experience, but we would be wary of staying again in the Sagres region without A/C.
