Schlosshotel Klaffenbach

A very exciting location, conveniently reachable by car, though might be quite distant for travellers without own modes of transportation. I liked the breakfast mostly for the ambiance of the castle — the coffee and a main course are served individually, while lots of starters are available at the buffet.

The room design might seem a little old, which however aligns with the overall vision for the castle. It is certainly compensated with modern bathroom equipment, useful amenities and the views.

This is probably our 8th stay at this hotel, which I think is recommendation enough in itself. Friendly staff, lovely cottages, and a peaceful, quiet location.

The food, both at breakfast and in the restaurant, was rather underwhelming.

Nice park, castle and surrounding.

The quality was not 4 Star. Design from the 90ties with some nice old castle looking elements. The food was not as great as described. Neither the dinner in restaurant not the breakfast. Bread was nor warm and crounchy- like from previous evening. Decent quality. Chairs in the restaurant outside not very comfortbale, we were informed only one babychair available- it was already occupied. Many wasps trying to eat our meal as we were outside admiring very nice castle view. Protection from sun- perfect. At 11pm we were asked to come inside not to talk outside ( two of us, chatting silently) as we may disturb the hotel guests. :( Hotel lobby with old design. The rooms at the attic quite warm, beds not really comfortbale. Bathroom big and comfortable, clean. The appartment quite big. It was very peaceful, silent.
