West End Townhouse

Location was excellent with pretty nice views in the nearby Dean Bridge. Walkable distance to the Ross Fountain, the Edinburgh Castle, and Circus Lane. Also very close to many foreign consulate generals if one needs to go there. Also found a pretty good pub (Teuchters) nearby. Furnishings in the room were posh and luxurious (maybe too many pillows on the bed!). Also impressed at the vintage typewriter that was placed as display in the room (although the very young generation might not recognize it). Plenty of sunlight enters the room during the afternoon. Bathroom is large and spacious compared to most other bathrooms I've encountered in hotels and apartment hotels in the UK. The owners also provided some snacks and even milk in the fridge. Too bad I didn't spend enough time enjoying the room because there were too many places I wanted to explore in Edinburgh during my three days there.

Old school door locks are used, which could be a challenge for those not used to them. The toilet flush button is located behind the toilet seat cover, which can be frustrating.

The most wonderful, warm welcome with plenty of room to breathe, an ideal location, super comfy bed and the best views of anywhere I've ever stayed.

Excellent location, wonderful hosts, beautifully appointed room with an amazing view. Bed was super comfortable! Highly recommend!!
