Palihotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The hotel is very well decorated and feels really special. The bar at the roof is stunning and a great spot for a drink. We came for a weekend to see a show at the Chula Vista amphitheater and it worked very well for us. The staff had a little trouble giving suggestions about the area and there also was about a hour long check out process on Sunday morning between the line at the front desk and having to get the valet to bring the car around. There also was only one functioning elevator for all guests and staff, causing us to wait up to 15 minutes just to get to the lobby unless we wanted to carry all our bags up and down 11 flights of stairs (we we did end up doing!). The area the hotel is in is not family-friendly so if you have small kids and want to walk around, I would go elsewhere!

Only one elevator was operational and it could take 10-15 min to get on.

It was clean cute hotel, our TV didn't work. But its a nice place to Stay clise to Petco Sradium for games.

Came to San Diego for a Naval ceremony on the Midway and this was the perfect spot for a weekend stay. My husband and I checked in late and the staff was very welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. Small, but the historic charm made it feel like a European hotel room. We liked the modern upgrades like the dimming lights. We didn’t have much of a “window” (it just opened to an enclosed courtyard) but only really stayed in the room at night so it didn’t matter much. The neighborhood is a bit loud but the hotel felt safe. Definitely a good option for what we needed!
