This newly refurbished four-bedroom thatched cottage combines traditional Dorset charm with a fresh, contemporary country feel. Lovingly finished to a high standard, the cottage offers a cosy and comfortable home-from-home for up to 8 guests, with a travel cot also available.

Situated in the peaceful Dorset village of West Knighton, the cottage is perfectly placed for enjoying the countryside and exploring the surrounding area. There is also the added bonus of a family-owned local pub just a one-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy a meal or a drink without having to get in the car.

The cottage has a secluded garden and parking close to the property, making it an ideal base for families and friends looking for a relaxing Dorset getaway.

The cottage has four bedrooms:
Two king-size bedrooms
One twin bedroom with two single beds and an en-suite shower room
One king-size bedroom on the ground floor

There is also a master bathroom with both a shower and bath, plus a further shower room on the ground floor.

With its comfortable lounge, newly equipped kitchen and cosy country feel, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together.

Why worry about shopping and cooking as soon as you arrive?

You can pre-order a delicious home-cooked family meal, freshly prepared by the chefs at the family-owned pub nearby. Your chosen meal will be waiting for you in the fridge when you arrive, ready to simply heat and enjoy.

Thai Vegetable Curry

You can even order a meal for every night of your stay, so there is no need to worry about finding the local shop or cooking after a long journey.

Meals are prepared in a traditional family oven dish and provide six standard portions and must be pre-ordered by email before your stay.

A cosy and comfortable lounge, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Dorset. The cottage also has a TV and DVD player.

A newly equipped kitchen with everything you need for your stay.

Bedrooms
Four comfortable bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests:
Two king-size bedrooms
One twin bedroom with two single beds
One king-size bedroom downstairs
The twin bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room.

Bathrooms
There is a master bathroom with both a bath and shower, plus a further shower room on the ground floor.

A separate washing machine is provided.

Outside & Parking
The cottage has a secluded garden, providing a lovely private space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

There are two allocated parking spaces next to the property. The spaces are arranged one behind the other, so please bear this in mind when parking, as the front vehicle may need to be moved to allow the vehicle behind to leave.

There is also additional off-road parking available at your own discretion, providing some extra flexibility if needed.

Please note that, as a traditional thatched cottage, ceiling heights are restricted in some areas.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available at the cottage for guests to use during their stay. However, as this is a traditional property with thick walls and is situated in a rural location, the Wi-Fi signal and speed can vary in different areas of the cottage.

The property does not have fibre broadband, so the connection can occasionally be less reliable or slower than you may be used to. We do our best to provide a good connection, but unfortunately it can sometimes be less consistent than we would like.

West Knighton is a peaceful Dorset village and a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Enjoy beautiful walks from the village or take a short drive to the spectacular Jurassic Coast, with its stunning coastline, beaches and seaside towns.

There are also plenty of family attractions and places to visit within easy reach, making the cottage a great choice for family holidays and group getaways.

The village is situated approximately 3 miles from Dorchester, making it convenient for exploring the county town as well as the wider Dorset area.
