Bristol Sea View Apartments

A very nice view , nice qualifications , good location.

Katrina on reception so helpful and friendly. Lovely views from the balcony. Nice swimming pool. Close to the old town. Ali the resident taxi driver was a huge bonus, he made travel easy and stress free.

Rooms a little tired could do with some reorganising.

Location was great, just on the outskirts of Kos Town. Super easy to walk into town for lunch/dinner. Bakery/breakfast place right next door. As well as other restaurants and cafes along the beachfront, many with seating on the beach. The apartment itself exceed my expectations for the price, was well equipped, had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony, which also had a table and chairs to enjoy our breakfast on in the morning. The pool area was better than I was expecting, and sees the sun all day long (until 4:30pm in September). The beach directly in front of the apartment is quite thin and more for restaurant seating, however if you head along the seafront (away from Kos Town) you can reach a larger patch of beach with multiple beach clubs to hire sunbeds from. We walked for 20 mins and went to Paradiso beach (not to be confused with Paradise Beach which is more famous and on the other side of the island). There is a watersports hut who own a few sunbeds and charge 6 euro for each bed and an umbrella for the day.

The bathroom is a bit tired. Could do with a new shower curtain and a sealant is a bit dirty, but nothing out of the ordinary for the price you pay.

The location is great - beautiful sea view, 10 minute walk to town, restaurants and supermarkets all close by. Cleaninh staff and bar staff were welcoming and friendly, especially to our children. Air con made sleeping much more comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed, including soaps and dishwashing liquid and was a good size. Pools were warm and a good variety so that our children could play safely.

Check in was stressful. We arrived at 10pm to find the office closed lights off, nobody around. Signage directed us to knock on a man's apartment door in an emergency. The man then helped to get in contact with the owner/manager and was then able to give us the key and take us to our apartment. We were told that there was a mix-up. For the price, I'd expect the rooms and general facilities to be much cleaner. Sheets were folded daily, towels and bins changed, but the room itself was not the cleanest. The bathroom door was particularly grim. The pool area, expectially the drainage around the pool edge, had lots of plastic in it. I'm not sure what chemicals were in the water, but all of our swimming clothes and towels have turned a yellow/green. There are many broken tiles, particularly around the child pool. My son cut 3 of his toes on different tiles throughout our stay.
