Hotel Stella Della Versilia

A very relaxing stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful. The spa was a great addition, and the breakfast was really good. A perfect place to relax.

Our room was gorgeous (after being moved from our initial room which did not match what we had booked) with a beautiful view over the pool and garden. The pool was relaxing and quiet, but we still felt welcome to have our toddler there. Our spa treatments were magical - Linda is amazing. Breakfast had a great spread. The property was clean and all staff were very friendly. We appreciated our room being changed when the first one we had did not align with our expectation as to what we had booked. It was a great base to visit family and explore the local towns and beaches!

A few minor things that could have been improved: (1) water refill was not available - when I refilled a water bottle from the dispenser at breakfast I was told that water was for breakfast only. That seems silly; water refill should be available rather than constantly buying new water bottles. (2) it was not possible to order food during the day, even something simple. It was possible to order drinks at the bar to have by the pool but service was very slow - would have been good if the server came to the pool/loungers to take orders. (3) Parking costs €10 or €25 per day depending which lot you park in - parking should be included with the stay. (4) Toilets for the pool did not work, so if we (or toddler) needed to go while at the pool, we had to go through the lobby or to our room.

The selection for breakfast was large and delicious. The room was very spacious and beds comfortable. I was very impressed by the hotel staff that were very professional and welcoming.

The noise level in the morning from the corridor was rather high. Beaches are very close on foot but most beaches seem to be private and closed off to general public.

No A/C, even though it is advertised as having it. The room was really stuff and uncomfortably warm. Although the weather outside wasn’t super warm, the room was stuffy. When brought to staff’s attention, they basically told us it isn’t warm to them and they don’t have it on at this time of year. they eventually turned it on, so this helped but we didn’t appreciate their condescending tone. The Mini Bar fridge also didn’t work in the room and everything was warm and we were told it was not meant to be a fridge, when it was clearly a fridge. again, insulting our intelligence. The pool area seemed closed off. No information given on the facilities offered or anything near by etc. just seemed very poorly ran. The grounds were lovely but would not recommend or come back based on the staff alone. breakfast was pretty basic and only ok also.
