The Grand Opera Hotel is in an excellent location. There is Starbucks a short walk away with friendly staff, also a nice Asian restaurant ‘Saigon’ around a 5 minute walk away. Our room was very clean with fresh towels every day. Lovely staff especially the young lad in the Breakfast Room every morning of our stay. Start your stay with a Walking Tour to see all the key landmarks.

I loved this hotel. It's a lovely facility, and I was particularly impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. For instance, when I discovered the local ride- hailing service would not work on my phone, the hotel manager had the staff summon a driver through the app and then wait outside with me until the car arrived. The neighborhood is very nice, with lots of dining opportunities.I will happily stay there again.

La stanza non è curata, moquette bagnata, mobili vecchi. Cauzione in contanti. Non merita le 4 stelle.

Clean, good hot water. They kept our luggage when we checked out.
The staff do not speak English. Always need to call some other person to come and translate.
They do not give packed breakfast, when we leave early for tours.they do not even want to compensate with a coffee or a small diner. Was really sad as first timer in almaty.
