May Acres Cottage -South Asheville amidst 15 acres with sunrise & mountain views

My wife and I stayed at May Acres Cottage with our small dogs, and it suited us in every way. The owners thoughtfully provided every little detail to make our stay very pleasant. The home itself is charming and comfortable and it is set in a beautiful location. The owners' house is on the opposite side of the gravel drive, so we got to know them, which was an enjoyable experience in itself. We also got to know the donkey that inhabits the adjacent meadow. Grocery shopping in Fletcher is a very short drive away. We especially enjoyed having our meals in the sun porch that looks out the back of the home at the wooded hilltop. The table there seats 6 spaciously so we could have our daughter's family over for dinner. We had all the peace and quiet we needed at May Acres, but it is very convenient to many, many activities in the greater Asheville area. We would definitely return.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The place is nice and quaint. The location is central to every place we needed to be. The owners were friendly and helpful. Their little dog, Rosie, was a delight!

Clean, host and hostess are good southern people! Home has the little details covered! Will be back !

This was a great location for our trip, and it is pet-friendly. We were participating in a dog agility trial at the WNC Agricultural Center - it was a perfect location for us, about a 7-minute drive. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The accommodations were lovely and comfortable. The area was quiet and a great place to unwind after all the energy at the dog trial! The only downside to the weekend was the wet weather, of course, nothing anyone had control over. We would have loved to explore the area a bit more. We would definitely stay there again.
