Renter was very communicative Check in was easy Kitchen was well stocked Every inch of that rental was put to good use Lots of space and beds for our larger group

The rental shows it’s age in few ways such as doors that are difficult to close, flooring spots that are sinking, beds aren’t the most comfortable but good enough!!

Instructions to get in were perfectly clear and easy to follow. Parking in the back was not an issue for our van. The house was clean, and you can tell they have done a lot of work to make it a nice place to stay. The outside might give you a different impression, but the inside is wonderful. The kitchen has everything you need for a simple stay including dishes, cookware, utensils, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, some pans for the oven. Full and half bathrooms had hand soap, even some shower essentials available. The inconveniences were minor. Neighborhood had kids playing daily, was relatively quiet, with a park close by for my kids to play. Owner is very kind and responsive. We felt safe here. This was quite a distance from where we needed to go every day, but I would choose this property again.

There was no plug for the kitchen sink so doing dishes for myself and 5 kids was an interesting challenge, but definitely doable. The back door only closes with the deadbolt, there is no latch, but once it's locked it stays securely closed. Some funky stuff came up from the tub drain when the plug was pulled after my toddler's bath, but that could just be old pipes. The pull out couch seems to have been broken by someone, it does not stay put or up properly. Cigarette butts from previous guests and some garbage laying around the back that I assume blew in from surrounding neighbors. I smoke but used a pop can for mine to keep things clean for others, and others should use the same consideration. Some chips in paint in places, but nothing I would refuse another stay over. One of the extra pillows had a blood stain on it - probably the worst thing on this whole list.

It was quiet and clean and had everything we needed. The beds where comfortable and every room was well decorated (very nice paintings on the walls) The host was responsive and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike, only thing I can suggest is maybe a hand rail for getting in and out of the shower, the tub is quite high and not easy to get and out of for someone with a leg disability or elderly.

We had a nice stay and would stay again. Instructions for accessing the property were clear and the owner provided all the info we needed prior to our arrival. The pictures are a good representation of what you get. The unit was basic but clean and comfortable. The kitchen came with spices, dishes, cookware and all the basics and everything was in working order. There was a good amount of linens available. The tv allowed us to stream directly from our personal devices.

The negatives were minor: The neighbourhood isn’t great. It’s a lower-income area. Neighboring properties, especially the attached home, were full of litter that blows around. But it seemed safe enough. The street was packed with cars most of the time, and very narrow to navigate around oncoming traffic. There’s nowhere to sit outside to smoke - a lawn chair outside the back door would have been nice, and a spare blanket for the couch. There’s a bit of a musty smell but we got used to it quickly.
