Hotel La Guindal

El hotel está muy bien, muy limpio buen trato y muy buen desayuno

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Santander with our ferry arriving late afternoon. Fairly easy to find almost in the grounds of the hospital. Corking parking with some down the side but a good-sized tarmac area behind so great for our motorbikes. Check in took a while with all the info the government now expect hotels to take from us. We enquired what time the associated café bar would be serving meals to and were told 7pm by the check out lad. So a very quick dump-kit-and-walk-over as it was 18:30 at this point, only to find that the bar isn’t open on Mondays – surely the check-in staff should be aware of that? But no worries, he was able to give us directions for a 15-minute stroll into town along a riverside path, and here there were plenty of places to choose from. Rooms were a good size and clean. The shower though was tiny which made using it a challenge. Breakfast was included in the price, and to be honest, we didn’t expect much. A very pleasant surprised for the sheer variety on offer from breads and pastries, cereal, fruit, tortilla and even pre-boiled eggs, and proper coffee. It certainly set us up for the day. As a 1-night stop off at the beginning of our motorbike tour, we thought it was good value with good parking too. Would be happy to use it as a stop-off again on our next bike tour.

Would have been nice to be aware beforehand that the linked bar/restaurant wouldn't be open on the evening of our stay.

Desayuno genial, era buffet libre; todo muy limpio; personal muy atento y amable; parking amplio para aparcar; cerca de restaurantes para comer o cenar, y muy cerca de Ranasella. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

La habitación, camas muy incómodas y muchísimo calor .. No tenía aire , tenía ventilador de pie No nos dieron ninguna información de nada te mandan lee un QR ni tan siquiera hacen cheking..
