Everything was as described and expected. It is a very nice comfortable home for a family get away. Lots of deer in the neighborhood, so drive carefully.

Our family had a great time. We would definitely consider staying here again. The top things to note about this house is:
1) proximity to attractions is perfect. Short drives to grocery store, paid attractions, and surrounding natural resources.
2)good size kitchen for a vacation home. If you like to cook for a family then the kitchen is laid out good and it easy to navigate. Dishwasher works well.
3) privacy and view is extraordinary. We got in after dark and my son ran into my room to wake me up to show me the view off the back deck. I was pretty tired but man it was worth the wake up call.
4) washer and dryer are great units. If you need to clean some clothes or bedding your covered
Things to consider:
One bedroom is far away from the other two. This is fine if your vacationing with another couple or older kids but younger kids could be a factor for some families.
The cameras all over seem a little odd but whatever
Upstairs bedroom does not have HVAC so it gets a little toasty up there - it is the master suite.
All in all excellent stay. We do an Evolve listing also so it was nice to see it from a consumer standpoint. Great experience and I am happy we did this versus a hotel.

This home will not disappoint. Breathtaking views off the back deck and a beautiful home inside with lots of room for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Secluded area, neighbors are not very close. Deer visited us daily, along with visits from turkeys and many birds. Koi pond is a great bonus and the kids loved it. Cozy beds and very clean home with all the essentials and even more. Perfectly located to everything we wanted to do. Just a short drive to Mt Rushmore & Crazy Horse. 5-10 min to Reptile Garden & Bear Country (highly recommend both). And 15-20 min to even more.
Internet is fast too... for those in the group that needed to stay connected.
Host was very responsive and even offered some great suggestions on restaurants.
Highly recommend this home!

This is an older house, but it is updated inside, very clean and had a few little bonuses. We just needed a home base to go do all the excursions we wanted to and Rapid City is a prefect home base. The gas fire pit and the deck were excellent for our family to cook hot dogs, smores and the view is beautiful.
There are puzzles and board games and the Koi pond with blooming lily pad was beautiful! We even got a message from the property manager that we could enjoy fresh raspberries.
So although it was a little dark when we walked in and an older home, it was perfect for what we were looking for and we enjoyed it immensely.
