We booked this place for the first week of January (AKA the second week of Christmas break from school), to be close to Heavenly to introduce the kids to skiing. We were 2 families, including grandparents.
This place was relatively easy to find, bearing in mind the weather conditions. Because of the recent snowfall, the hosts were kind enough to let us check-in early, and had even started the gas fireplace for us prior to our arrival. A truly warm welcome! For our departure day, due to the heavy snowfall the day prior and to a skiing injury their manager had sustained, the hosts themselves came out to help with clearing the snow from their driveway and roadway. Truly hospitable!
The place was very cozy - as others have noted, the living room and kitchen area were quite spacious, allowing the kids freedom to run around a bit and for the parents to sit at the dining table without feeling squeezed. The kitchen was well stocked with plates / dishes / glasses (including plastic ones for kids) / utensils / cookware. The bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable beds.
There was ample signage throughout the place for what to do / what not to do (please) / how to do some things (particularly lighting and heater / fireplace controls).
The heater ran strongly / consistently throughout our stay; space heaters were available if needed as well. We didn't get to enjoy the second floor jacuzzi as a hot tub, unfortunately, primarily using it as a bath for the children. Hot water was sufficient, if a bit finicky to modulate the temperature the first time we tried it (separate knobs for hot and cold).
Access to Heavenly was a relatively straight shot with few turns required. Ample shovels were provided for hands-on snow clearing as needed. A spacious backyard made for some fun impromptu sledding.
We look forward to staying here again in the future!
