Schrofenblick Alpen Resort

Nice view of the mountains and big rooms

There were little animals walking around

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the kitchen utilities we could need provided. The homely, cosy decoration made it feel relaxing. Although our apartment was in a separate small building rather than the main building, this was no inconvenience at all: it is connected to the main building – where the reception, restaurant and wellness area are located – through an indoor tunnel that is so well and cleanly maintained that I barely notice I'm walking between buildings. A dedicated parking space was also allocated to our apartment - just right in front of the building, which was very convenient. The wellness area was another highlight: the sauna, steam room and relaxing area are all excellent.

The opening hours of the wellness area are quite limited: only 4–7 pm (not completely sure about the time, but definitely only some hours in the late afternoon), and it's even closed on Sundays, which we found a bit impractical. If you're out skiing or hiking during the day, the short window can be a little restrictive. The apartment is in a quiet location, about a 20-minute walk from the centre of Mayrhofen – peaceful, but a bit away from town. Also, the reception is not open every day or all day, so it's best to check the opening schedule in advance, as it could be slightly inconvenient if you needed anything. To be fair, it wasn't a big problem for us.
