Island View House

The location of this property is the best. It is in the city center where everything is walkable you can go out and eat to the pubs in the night and come back home and sleep. The rooms are clean and everything was very well organized.

Trying to get to the property is a nightmare. The roads are extremely narrow. I would highly recommend getting to the property before dark.

Great Hospitality! Beautifully located on a hill above the town. I had a great view of the island from my bedroom window! Thanks to Dennis and his staff for a peaceful place to stay!

Bathroom tiny no place to put anything down, no caddy or shelf in the shower. Mould and grease all around the shower door. Disgusting! Every time I walked in or out the owner was sitting/standing around. Even telling you how to park. Breakfast was supposedly until 11.00, the first morning went to the dining area at 10.25 everything was covered and put away. The hot station was empty. I got fruit from the fridge and cereal from the covered container which apparently angered the owner. This was at 10.40. Next morning went a bit earlier all was good sitting there enjoying our tea/coffee at 10.15 and the owner Dennis I think is his name yells “folks check out time is 10.30” we were all packed and ready to walk out. I asked Dennis should I leave the keys in the room, as we were staying in the main dwelling house, he yells “you will hand them back to me” which I did. We were gone by 10.25. Would not recommend this place, can do better for the price . Very abrupt and hostile owner.AVOID.
