Ciasa Vervei

Our balcony room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright. The service from the family who ran the inn was warm and thoughtful. As an example, my partner is lactose intolerant and they went out of their way to get almond milk for breakfast the next morning. Speaking of, the food was excellent. But make sure to make a reservation for dinner, as the restaurant is open to the public and seemed quite popular. Overall, this was a great place to return to after a long day of hiking.

Our room ran a little warm - but that wasn’t a big problem, you can just crack open the window or sliding door. Also just be aware that the roads to/from Cortina are especially windy.

Great staff , fantastic view , clean rooms and well equipped, restaurant on site was amazing and breakfast had bit variety . We loved staying here as a group of 5.

We loved the breakfast (dinner as well, the food was delicious) and the location too; very close to the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo. A cable car was about 5-10 minutes walk away which was great! The whole staff was very hospitable and nice, had parking so we didn’t have to worry about where to leave the car. The view from the restaurant.. breathtaking!

Our room was very small, smaller than in the photos I saw on the website for that room category , it was not easy to circulate in the room with 2 people in it, especially when you are trying to get ready and pack rucksacks for the day. There was only one window ( the photo I saw had two) so quite dark and not possible to create a draft which is nice to cool the room. There was no kettle in the room which to me makes a big difference. That would all have been acceptable but the worst was that our room was an interconnecting room and the door between us and the next room was not soundproof and we could hear absolutely every little noise, from a press opening to phone conversations! That was a big let down, we just got the worst room of the first category.
