Honey Badger Lodge

We stayed at Honey Badger before and after our trek to Kilimanjaro. The place is quite, it's nice to relax around the pool. The food was really good (buffet in the evening, Bugergs at lunch); the staff was super friendly. Bedrooms are spacious and comfy

The property is beautiful and relatively peaceful - the neighbourhood can be noisy. The rooms are stunning and many have a private pool. The staff are all so friendly and helpful.

The only problem was the beds. We had a few bumps and bruises so it was difficult to find an easy spot on the very had mattresses.

Liked: The hotel manager, Digna Mwacha, provided exceptional service. She was incredibly responsive even before we arrived—coordinating our transport and making sure everything ran smoothly when our flight was delayed. She ensured our group had clean, comfortable rooms with a private soaking pool, which was a wonderful touch. One of the most meaningful parts of our stay was a school visit that Digna helped us arrange. We brought donations and got to see an incredible program supporting local moms and kids. It was truly impactful. We also had a traditional dance performance that we had planned in advance—it was fantastic! The energy was so fun, and we even joined in. Such a joyful way to spend the evening. And the pizza from the restaurant? So good!

The beds were quite firm. A bit more comfort would make this place even better.

Room was very large and comfortable, excellent decor, bonus private mini pool in the back.

The hotel is right near what sounds like a nightclub, which makes for a long and noisy night. Also, be careful of the directions to this location if using GoogleMaps. There are two Honey Badger Lodges shown, and the directions take you to dead ends sometimes.
