Overall it’s a solid unit and is as described. We made the error of not fully researching when sargassum was high and unfortunately it was high. Now, the next door complex did keep their side of the beach rather cleaner, because our complex had mounds of sargassum and wasn’t a pleasant view nor smell. Even after they working on it day and night , it’s like they never even dented it.We had to go to Playa Macao to enjoy the beach. We love sleeping with a window open to hear the ocean waves but couldn’t due to the smell. If we do go back in the summer we’re staying on the north or south and not the west of D.R. Other than that the place was perfect for the four of us. I would make one small suggestion: install bidets in each toilet. Great for the environment by using less toilet tissue and just cleaner overall. My husband and I just completed a month at this condo. The condo is roomy and comfortable. The location has a fantastic view of the beach! The kitchen is very well equipped with the best appliances. The balcony was my favorite spot. It is always breezy to sit and relax and/or eat a meal.The Playa Turquesa Resort is well maintained and has really pretty grounds. The pools were very nice. I always felt safe. I love the central location to all the restaurants and markets.The manager, Liz, was a great! She was attentive, took care of issues promptly and was a great resource of the area. The negatives for this condo are:It is located next to a boat repair place and they are always loud!!!! Between having sanders, drills, very loud music and talking from early morning (6:30) to late evening, there is always noise that interrupts the tranquillity of the beach.When renting a penthouse one expects some expectations. The place needs some updates on their decor. Most of the decorations or lamps are broken, paint chipping, rusted or stained. The mattresses were comfortable but none had mattress covers and you could see stains on them.The sheets were a problem. The sheet sizes never properly fit. The sheets had seen better days. Some had stains and very thin.The beach towels were in need of some update. None matched, some very cheap feeling and some even frayed on the ends.We would go back to Playa Turquesa Resort but not this condo.

Absolutely beautiful property and perfect location! This was our first time visiting Punta Cana and we could not have chosen a better accommodation! Liz was on top of everything we needed and gave us so much extra information about the area! She arranged our pick up from the airport and also transportation back once our stay ended! The condo is beautiful and spacious! We had 3 couples staying together and there was room to spread out! The only negative was a huge pile of seaweed that had been swept from the beach was right in our balcony view, however they were working to clear it daily! The grounds are beautiful and well secured!

Beautiful views from the condo - gorgeous sunrises. Clean, peaceful pools. Great beach bar. Condo felt safe. Property manager (Liz) was terrific- cheerful & quick to respond. Remodeled kitchen & bathrooms. Main BR AC didn’t work. First tech said AC worked but 2 more hots nights led us to reach out again. Different tech (we left beach to meet the techs in condo each time) confirmed compressor needed to be replaced. For 5 days, we kept shades drawn to keep roomer cooler & kept blower on all night to have air flow, resulting in higher $$ electricity usage. To be fair, we like it cool so probably use more than average, but our usage was REALLY high -$260. Liz asked owners about discounting electricity given AC issues. Owners initially discounted 1 day. We asked for 50% & they then agreed to 2 days. Disappointing response given the impact it had. The grill was very dirty and the large chair on terrace was stained and smelled. The ½ BR needs maintenance. Silverware did not appear clean. One bedroom had stained sheets, a cigar underneath the bed, and clothing in the closet. The beach has some sargassum, but beaches were cleared 2x a day. Water was a bit cloudy. Loud partying and a 4am rooster impacted sleep -part of the DR experience! However, had beautiful day trip to Sanoa island. Great dinner at Onno’s. I think we were this unit’s first rental – condo really has potential & with some TLC, would be great rental. Liz manages numerous properties- we would rent from her again.
