Vancouver Airport guesthouse

Good location easy to find really nice house. The staff were lovely🧡and gave us extra blankets and pillows. The bed was cozy it would have been nice if there was a bed frame. It had a shared full bathroom and another extra room with a toilet.

The extra bathroom would have been perfect if it had a sink and a mirror. Also our room was really nice but a full length mirror would have been helpful because we needed to get ready in our room and a mirror would Have been nice as we didn’t want to occupy the bathroom for too long.

We were very happy to actually be able to spend 2 nights in the guesthouse with a booking made just a few days in advance when our previous reservation did not work. So big thanks for that. And it is actually pleasant to stay in a district of family houses, one gets to know how real people live in Vancouver, comparing to staying in a hostel in the city centre. And we liked the common space of the guesthouse - the basement of the house where 4 rooms are being rented.

We were a little suprised that since the rooms are originally rooms within one apartment, there is no way to lock the door of your room when you go out to city for the day. Similarly in the evening, you can only lock the garden door which serves as entry door for all guests once you make sure that all the guests are inside. Otherwise, anyone can come from the street during the night. But even though this seems a little weird for European travellers, it went ok for us:) Finally, there is only 1 bathroom/washroom to be shared by 3 rooms, which can be tricky as it is the only usable toilet if someone takes shower etc.

The fridge kept my beer cold.

The bedrooms don't have proper locks. You can only lock the door if you are in the room. The house itself was never locked. Anyone could enter the rental space at anytime.
