The barman was a warm and friendly guy - very happy to match our pigeon French with his superior English!

I booked a room on a discount deal believing it would be a balcony room. Almost every room at the hotel has a 'sit-out' balcony. What we got was a tiny 'side' room, no balcony and no view. I felt that the whole booking process was opaque and unclear. This was the least satisfactory stay in our entire tour. I really do feel the Bookings.com need to put more resources into monitoring and sharpening up room descriptions and accompanying pictures. Many descriptions are, at best, unclear and, at worst, misleading. When one is out on the road, booking rooms at short notice, it is often not possible to get clarity from hotel owners because of language difficulties.
