We were in town for a wedding and overall we had a nice stay, the hardest part was Saturday night. Between the neighbors and all the crazies leaving the bars at 2a flying down the street in there noisy trucks it made it hard for my wife and I getting any sleep that night. It was loud enough our 8 month old woke up crying to one car flying by with what sounded like no muffler. If noise is no issue for you this would make a great stay!

such a cute vrbo. it was perfect our girls trip.

This place is so fun.. very close to everything you need to see in Hammond and plenty of character! Everything was more than expected and worked perfectly.. if you are sensitive to sound, which we aren’t, it’s on a main road so it could get a little loud for some..not us tho! We loved it.

The home is a very cute and cozy space blocks away from downtown Hammond. We appreciated the walkability to parks and restaurants. We did not like its proximity to a very busy street, the fire station, and train tracks a block or so away. The beds were very comfortable. Ear plugs provided were appreciated. We had to request additional towels, which were provided quickly the next day; I just didn't think I should need to ask for 5 towels when I reserved for 5 people. The kitchen was not adequately equipped to do much cooking. Specifically, the listing noted there was a grill and kids dishes. There was not a grill, and while we don't need kids dishes, there was not enough dishes or utensils to begin with. The pots and pans have seen far better days, as well. Also of note, the listing specifies there is a hot tub, there is not. We weren't worried about that - but the listing inaccuracy is relevant. The washer and dryer were in great shape and washed well. We ran two loads, and it seemed there was a limit of some kind, as the second load we could use only the quick wash cycle. Overall, if you are someone who isn't bothered by loud road noise and trains, and you don't plan on cooking, this is a nice place to stay.
