Hilton Kinshasa

This is an excellent hotel with excellent customer service. I have stayed in many Hiltons and other hotels around the world and this is one of the best. The room and communal areas were clean and very well presented. The hotel seems highly regarded. I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in September and was fortunate to overlap my stay with the Congolese national foootball team. The security also feels very high and it was helpful that some of the staff were able to speak English and all were able to speak French.

I had a slight issue with the hotel driver service where the driver said he would pick me up at 5pm but then failed to do so and when I rang the hotel they said the driver would not come due to traffic. This was the only instance where I was disappointed with the customer service, albeit after a complaint, the hotel did then call later to say they would pick me up after all. Apart from that the driver service was good and they managed to pick me up and drop me off successfully at Kinshasa N’Djili airport.

The hotel was extremely clean! It was aesthetically beautiful too. I’ve been to Hilton’s in other countries but this was my first time in Hilton Kinshasa.

L’hôtel est vraiment joli et élégant, et on s’y sent en sécurité avec des gardes présents un peu partout. Les chambres sont spacieuses et le petit-déjeuner propose un large choix de menus.

Je n’ai pas aimé le fait qu’il n’y ait pas de self-service pour le thé, le café et le lait. On doit donc attendre longtemps pour être servi, et on a le temps de finir le petit-déjeuner avant de recevoir le thé ou le café. Le fait qu’on me dise que la piscine est chauffée, alors qu’en réalité elle ne l’a jamais été, m’a également déçu. Durant la saison sèche, il fait frais pour se baigner dans une piscine à 10 degrés. Je trouve également dommage que le hammam ne soit pas fonctionnel et qu’il n’y ait personne capable de le réparer. Pour un hôtel de ce standing, je m’attendais vraiment à mieux. À 2 000 $ pour 5 nuits, on s’attend à ce que les prestations annoncées soient réellement disponibles et fonctionnelles. Malheureusement, le rapport qualité-prix n’est pas à la hauteur de mes attentes.
