My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Shell Cottage with our little dog. We have visited the Bay a few times now and find it so quiet and relaxing. Shell Cottage was in a lovely position to get the sunshine in the morning while eating breakfast then again after a day out coming back and relaxing on the comfortable sofa with a cuppa feet up soaking up the sun through the front window, I was in my element. The bed was comfortable we slept very well. If I were to knit pick I would like to see the bathroom with a fresh coat of paint and more knives and forks as there were only 3 of each which was enough for my husband and I but a larger family would have problems eating together. Also need some teaspoons as there wasn’t any. All in all nothing stopped us from having a wonderful time at Shell Cottage and would certainly recommend it to others we didn’t want to leave to go home.

We had a fantastic stay at Shell Cottage, Bay Filey. Close to amenities, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington which were all lovely to visit and it was a bonus the weather was on our side! The only downsides to our stay were the cutlery (the large knives were unusable due to being blunt), the lack of toilet roll provided for a 4-night stay and the creaking of the floor boards on the stairs and bedrooms. Apart from those things, we had an amazing stay and would stay again if we are visiting Filey. The key safe was very easy to use and all details on arrival and departure were useful and very detailed.

We really enjoy coming to The Bay and this year was no exception until New Year’s Eve when Fireworks were going off near our cottage! Our dog is absolutely terrified of them and was unfortunately left very distressed! We pay a lot of money each year to go to The Bay as it is a firework free place so we would definitely think twice before booking in future! Which is a massive shame.

Perfect place for us to use as a Base, nice family home spacious rooms and nice area outside would recommend,
