R Hotel Namba South

Great staff and location .

Room is too small and so is the bathroom. Breakfast is rather basic - 3 set menus. Wager-dryer integrated Maxine’s - not enough and drying is incomplete.

Although it may look on the map that the place is a bit far away from centre of Osaka nightlife, it is located next to a subway station which can take you Namba and Dotonbori in mere minutes. Room was spacious and clean, all amenities were provided. Helpful staff!

The pool Table was fun. Beds were comfy. Location good .

I think the breakfast should start at 6.30am not 8am. Many people have early morning tours to get to or early trains to take etc. Also the breakfast should allow a juice and a coffee as part of the breakfast. It’s not much to allow this I would think. Also the washing machine area should have a seperate dryer as the combination machine doesn’t dry well.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are adequate.

- We were asked to review the hotel on google in exchange for free early checkin. - The hotel's name implies that it is in Namba. It is NOT. It is on the edge of one of the worst neighborhoods. My bad for not digging deeper into the address, but I feel like they purposely mislead you. - They also operate a hostel with a very similar name. Be sure not to confuse them. - It's a very touristy hotel. - The neighborhood feels sketchy, the only place out of six cities where I felt this during our three weeks in Japan.
