Willing Resort, Trongsa

Don't miss out on a 5 Star hotel with a smaller prices but still get treated royally. Stop at Trongsa and stay at the Willing resort overlooking the Dzong. The view is gorgeous and the rooms are big, comfortable, and luxurious. Some rooms have bathtubs on the balcony. The infinity pool looks nice but was a bit too cold for us but the sauna is warm and toasty. The food is 5 Star quality and the service top notch.

Fällt mir fast nichts ein - bis auf das fehlende Warmwasser bei der Outdoor-Badewanne (aber mal ehrlich, ist das für dieses Traumland wichtig?)

The location is truly incredible and the view over the Trongsa valley is amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean and staff is helpful.

The road to get to the resort is however very challenging. But the main reason for a lower score is because we really did not appreciate the 10% service charge added on our bill that was never included in our Booking.com reservation (all charges and fees need to be visible to the paying guests). There is also a 3% credit card fee also not highlighted at booking point. Finally, the dinner is the most expensive we had in Bhutan (but definitely not the best, stick with the Bhutanese dishes, the others are not good) and the price of it was not made clear until check out.
