Excellent location, lovely house.

Only two issues. One was that instructions for getting into the house did not arrive from the agents, so we were left standing at the front door. I think the agents (VRC) should review their messaging and separate it into two parts: part one should be from a customer perspective - what the customer really needs to know to get in. Then part 2 can be all the legal caveats that VRC want the customer to know, like additional charges if the place is left dirty. The current messaging is extremely long compared to our other rentals, and the check in information is buried in other detail. Also it should confirm how the final check in details will be sent - either by email or SMS or other website. Also the current information says that passports may need to be checked - which implies that someone will be meeting us onsite. Also the day before arrival, we were asked to specify arrival time to one hour time slots. This implied to us that someone would meet us - that did not happen so the one hour time slot request was irrelevant and a waste of our time in responding. Eventually we called the Helpdesk to try and get in to the house, and as soon as we spoke to a real human, they sorted the issue very quickly - so thank you to customer services. The only other issue at the house was that the air conditioning motor was quite noisy, especially at night. I'm not sure if the motor is above the bedroom in the loft or below the bedroom in the basement, but it was loud and interrupted sleeping, even with earplugs in!
