My sister and I stayed at The Dairy Barn for my birthday and the best word I can use to describe it is "bucolic". It possessed all of those attributes you look for in a quiet getaway. Rebecca was easy to communicate with and pleasant. We hit the local wineries on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Floyd, New River Trail and other small, quaint towns that dot that area. The fireflies were spectacular after dark as well as the stars. On our last evening there, cows were released to graze in the field next to the house, they are always so much fun to observe up close. We always love staying here. The stay was relaxing and always enjoy the area. It was nice and cozy and even had a new stove.

Wonderful property. Close to town, but feels secluded. I will definitely recommend this rental to my friends.

Our dogs love the super thick grass in the nice yard. (Pix attached). It is great to throw the ball and burn off some energy after a long day of driving. The home and property are well cared for and well-equipped. The location is highway close for convenience, but you would never know it looking out over the meadow and mountains, from the yard, and hearing only the red-winged blackbirds singing to each other.
