Once known as the Little Athens of Italy for its marble studios (Carrara’s marble quarries are just behind), Pietrasanta is nowadays a gem not to be missed during your visit in Tuscany. This small medieval town has nothing to envy to the bigger and more famous Lucca, Siena or Florence, also reachable within short drive. With its stylish boutiques, gourmet restaurants and contemporary galleries Pietrasanta will simply drag you into romance. Wrapped in a fully artistic and cultural aura it has been – and keeps being – the adopted city for many artists, such as Michelangelo and Botero, just to name couple of them. Smiling color-washed houses line narrow streets contrasting a traditional Tuscan Palazzo or a small church stucked between two houses.

Just like a postcard, the location of this lovely villa is encased between the Mediterranean sea and the Apuan Alps - not so ordinary to be able to enjoy a mountain view lying on a beach! - and guests staying at Villa Desirée will be able to take advantage of the renowned beaches of Versilia and Forte dei Marmi, just four kilometres away.

Set in a tranquil side of the town, just one kilometre from the central Piazza del Duomo, it is within this magic frame that Villa Desirée opens its doors, bringing on the town’s artistic character with a personal touch which combines sobriety with contemporary. Fluffy relaxed fabrics and original artworks will lead you into a mindful dimension where laziness is the password.

Each detail is perfectly calibrated within a perfect balance, providing the ideal setting for a fully enjoyable holiday. The airy interiors infuse a continued sense of freedom, kept onto the outdoor by the comfortable pool area and the sunny equipped terrace, which will ensure memorable moments. Photos don’t really make the property justice and we are sure that you can’t wait to discover this special place.

I can resist anything but temptation, claimed Oscar Wilde.
