The Bread and Cheese Country Inn

Beautiful inn and our room had gorgeous views of the bay. It was nice to have breakfast choices.

Beautiful location and the room stunningly clean and well decorated , the breakfasts being just amazing. Just such a unique setting all around

Not a dislike but a recommendation perhaps - to have a firmer mattress as most people do not like a mattress on springs anymore with no support. Was difficult to sleep. And maybe over a period beyond three days to have additional towels already in room.

If you have a room with a sea view, there's a high chance you'll be able to see whales from your room (pending what time of year you go). Absolutely loved getting to watch whales every morning during our stay. You can also spot puffins in the water off in the distance. A short drive from St. John's but a great launching point for doing the Irish Loop. The breakfast options were delish along with the wine, tea, and coffee options. Highly recommend adding on a dinner as well. Paula and Pablo were excellent hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Like any traditional B&B, you might find yourself interacting with other guests a bit more than a hotel stay, along with the natural squeaks and creaks a house may have. For us, these were charming additions to our stay but always something to keep in mind.
