Seabatical is exactly as depicted online; no surprises. It's comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. The location is great. Its quiet, and surrounding trees provide both shade and privacy. Everything you might need is provided. Most importantly communication with owner/host was excellent. If there was a rating higher than excellent, I would give that.

I just wanted to share how much we love this house- it’s truly a hidden gem! Out of all the places we’ve stayed on Edisto, this one is our favorite. The private pool is a wonderful touch, and the design is fantastic, with every amenity you could possibly need. The location couldn’t be better: it’s tucked away on a quiet street and just a stone’s throw from the beach. Ralph has been incredibly responsive to all our needs as a host, making every visit smooth and enjoyable. This is our third time staying here, and I’ve already rebooked for next year because we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else.Looking forward to another amazing stay!

We return to Seabattical every year and LOVE our stays! Owner is wonderful!

Ralph is an incredible host. Ten stars. I've never worked with a host so receptive and willing to make everything right. Ralph is well-connected on the island and has a wonderfully dedicated team helping out with any issue that comes up. Rest assured you will be in great hands when you stay at Seabatical. The home is gorgeous with many thoughtful details. Our multi-generational family was very comfortable and relaxed with plenty of space to spread out. Each bedroom has a nice mattress with TV (kids loved having their own set). The pool and screened-in porch were outstanding. We definitely spent more time at the pool and hanging out on the porch than at the beach. Beach access is very easy from the home with a parking area right at the end of the block if you prefer not to walk. They even have a little wagon at the home to carry all your beach gear. Our trip was absolutely fantastic and we can't wait to return.
