The Schareckblick apartment is located in Böckstein, the southernmost district of Bad Gastein, just a three-minute walk from the bus stop for Bad Gastein, the Heilstollen, and Sportgastein. Two restaurants are a five- to ten-minute walk away; two more, along with a supermarket, are within a 20-minute walk or just a few minutes away by car or bus. The Heilstollen and the Tauernschleuse tunnel to Mallnitz can also be reached in five minutes or less by car or bus (or in ten minutes by bike).
In ancient times (the Roman era), Böckstein was the base for a well-known Tauern Pass, the Korntauern. However, Böckstein is best known as a mining village. Starting in the 18th century, gold was mined on a large scale in the mountains south of Böckstein; the Radhausberg takes its name from this period. A mining settlement with an accompanying museum tells the story of this era. The world-famous Heilstollen is also actually a relic from this time.
Today, Böckstein is a cozy village consisting mainly of single-family and multi-family homes, along with a few tourist establishments. Anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation away from the sometimes noisy tourist centers—yet still within easy reach of them—has come to the right place. And you won’t have to do without any amenities.
The Schareckblick apartment is located on the upper floor of a fifth of a row house, with a south-facing view of the Radhausberg and Schareck. The apartment consists of a large bedroom with a double bed, a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed suitable for adults, and a kitchen-living room with a sleeper sofa that can accommodate up to two additional guests. A separate bathroom and toilet round out the amenities. There is also an approximately 8-square-meter south-facing loggia.
If you’re arriving by car, free parking is available on both sides of the house. Bicycles can be parked in the garage next to the house. A power outlet for charging e-bikes is available.

The Schareckblick apartment is located on the upper floor of one-fifth of a row house. The apartment consists of a large bedroom with a double bed, a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed suitable for adults, and a kitchen-living room with a sleeper sofa for two additional guests. A separate bathroom and toilet complete the amenities. There is also an approximately 10-square-meter, south-facing loggia.
