This is a cool historic property with beautiful park-like grounds featuring a little creek, spring-fed pond, majestic old trees, and flower gardens. The setting was so pretty, we were tempted to spend all day relaxing on the patios and porch. The house retains its historic character and is one of the best stocked places we have stayed, including the lovely kitchen that had everything and then some (such as four different ways to prepare coffee.). The hosts, Bob and Carrie, are wonderful. They were there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour to show us how to operate the AC etc. Because we were interested, they told us about the history of the place and the original owners. They are the perfect hosts—super friendly, available as needed, but otherwise unobtrusive. The location is also great. At the end of a quiet lane but only a few blocks from downtown.

What a beautiful historic house. It was well appointed with everything we would need. If one has mobility issues, I would pass on this home due to stairs and level changes. The host was responsive and overall we had a wonderful stay!
