Our host took the time to meet us on arrival at the gate and showed us over the property. Very easy to make contact with the host. Photos are an accurate representation of the property. Very clean. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Comfy bed. Great shower pressure. Space on the private terrace. Getting around Como from the apartment very easy - walking, bus, trains, ferries. Would certainly recommend.

Ein sehr schön eingerichtetes neues bzw. frisch renoviertes Apartment, das sehr sauber und gepflegt gewesen ist. Der sehr netten Gastgeber Giovanni, reagiert schnell auf Anfragen. Wir wurden mit Blumen, Prosecco und Café Kapseln verwöhnt. Vielen Dank nochmals. Ausserdem ist man zu Fuss in 2 Minuten in mitten in Como. Parkhaus in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft.

Fully equipped super comfy apartment: proper aircon, cooking facilities, large fridge, washing machine, a real rain shower. Spotless clean. Easy and private access. Excellent communication with owner. Liked it a lot.

The apartment itself was excellent - everything apparently nearly new including renovated building. But gaining access was an UNMITIGATED DISASTER. We were to receive a code to open a key-safe (method unstated) but none came. In continuous rain, we tried to contact somebody for TWO HOURS. Workmen working nearby for the owner tried to help, but to no avail. After TWO HOURS in the rain (my wife in tears), occupiers of the adjacent apartment spotted our predicament from their balcony and somehow indirectly contacted the owner, apparently out of the country. It is a daft arrangement to rely on a third party (Booking.com?) to provide the essential code, without providing access to the owner. That's not all. The day before we left, another couple arrived expecting to have the apartment. It had been double-booked with an overlapping day. They tried to get Booking.com to book and pay for a night in a hotel, but apparently were refused. What these poor people eventually did is unknown. Furthermore, this couple would also have been unable to access (arriving on their booked day) because they too had received no key-safe code. Further. There is an unmentioned "key hazard" on leaving the apartment for the last time. Renters are instructed to leave the two keys inside the apartment. If you did that and closed the door behind you, then you would be unable to open the heavy steel street door - and would end up trapped between the now-locked apartment and the unscalable street door. Another arrangement is needed. Otherwise it will happen to someone. No form of apology or compensation has been received. Don't use Booking.com for any complicated arrangement - they don't care.
