Our house (built in 2022) is located in the quiet neighborhood of Marktschorgast, with a beautiful view of the Ochsenkopf in Bischofsgrün. It’s the perfect starting point for walks, hikes, bike rides, or exploring the many attractions in the immediate and wider area. Surrounding Marktschorgast, you’ll find meadows and forests; the Schorgast River flows from here to Wirsberg—a well-known wedding destination—and then on to Kulmbach, the “beer town.” A cycling and hiking trail leads through the Schorgast Valley to Himmelkron and Neuenmarkt, where you’ll find the Steam Locomotive Museum. The John-Paul-Weg also passes through here, showcasing the magnificent landscape of Upper Franconia. In town, you’ll find a hair salon and a bakery, butcher shops with a bistro, restaurants with beer gardens, and a beautiful market square. By the pond in the town center, there is a fitness trail and a Kneipp basin. Train service is also available here, making it easy to reach Bayreuth and Kulmbach. The Vogelnest is a quiet apartment for 5 people or families with children, perfect for relaxation. The wooden house has a comfortable indoor climate and a cozy atmosphere. The “Vogelnest” vacation home, spanning 60 m², features a bedroom with a box-spring bed, a living area with an open kitchen, and a large bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washing machine. The loft contains two additional beds (90x200 and 140x200). Since the loft is accessible via a steep staircase, we ask parents to be aware that we cannot assume liability for small children. The kitchen is equipped with a stove and a 4-burner cooktop. It also includes a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. Various cooking utensils, dinnerware, and coffee sets are provided, as well as a selection of glasses and bowls. Free Wi-Fi is available for our guests. For the cooler months, a wood-burning stove is available to provide cozy warmth, and firewood is provided. Please note that all apartments are non-smoking, and pets are not permitted. A deposit of 25% of the total price may be charged at any time after booking. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash on-site. Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Check-out is available from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible by arrangement. Keys will be handed over in person. Pets are not allowed. A sofa bed can be provided upon request for an additional fee of 7.00 EUR per night. Use of the washing machine is available for a fee. The base price includes towels, bed linens, Wi-Fi, and parking.
