We spent a weekend at Orrest Head House and it was the perfect setting for us to get together after many years. The house is finished beautifully with wonderful details and everything you need to relax and catch up with friends. We enjoyed the outdoor space especially, with the BBQ and external dining along with the spacious garden. We walked up to Orrest Head View directly from the back of the house and walked down to Windermere and Bowness with a great mix of shops, restaurants and pubs. We would love to come back!

12 friends have been coming to Windermere for the last 10 years (except during Covid) and have always stayed in either the terrace or Orrest head house.Always spotless, the property is old but contemporary design and decor make it a perfect place to stay.Orrest head house has fantastic gardens that are very well maintained.A perfect base to stay and close to shops, restaurants, bars.. Already looking for next year. Excellent would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Orrest Head House. The house is amazing and we were very privileged to be the first to stay in ‘The Loft’. This bedroom is a great addition to the house. It’s a super location for exploring the Lakes, and we can’t wait to return!

Second stay here. Beautiful house and location. All facilities provided, well equipped house. A few minor issues with repairs but owner responsive and friendly. The house has builders atm and they kept leaving the gate open to a busy road. Beds a little firm for our family. Other than that an excellent experience, one we hope to repeat.
