The property was clean and in a great location! It was spacious with enough bathrooms for everyone to spread out. Unfortunately, only the air-conditioning units in the bedrooms were working. Neither of the common living spaces air-conditioning units worked so we really couldn’t spend time outside of our bedrooms. It was too hot. One of the windows in the living room didn’t close all the way and so the apartment had a lot of mosquitoes and some of us got bitten up.

The apartment was just as advertised. The number of stairways and doors was unusual...and a little intimidating. Too much for some of us. The only communication problem was that I was using the supplied phone number to check in and they were using What's App, which I had on my phone, but hadn't used in years. There was waiting and angst involved standing on the street until I found an email address and connected with someone who came over within 10 minutes.

Location was superb. Communication and check in were excellent. The apartment has so much charm and felt classic Italian. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the beds were not the most comfortable, very thin pillows and friends complained of mosquitoes in their room - which honestly is difficult to avoid given the apartment is on the canal and weather was warm. We were a total of 4 children (10yr and 13yr old) and 4 adults and there was plenty of space for us all to be comfortable. Would stay again.
