I called the phone twice when I arrived and when I didn’t have hot water and they told me to message them instead. That made the communication so slow and difficult specially when we didn’t have hot water at 7pm. They were asking obvious questions and not tackling the problem straight away so we actually left for dinner without knowing if we’d have hot water that night. Turned out a fuse was off and they fixed it while we were out. Pressure in the shower was too low and water lukewarm. Stairs ate very steep and not shown properly on the photos. We were young but for elderly people or people with limited mobility would be very hard to climb the stairs to the second floor with the double beds.

Very clean, and the cottage has a charming appearance

I was not impressed that the lights didn’t work on arrival and had to figure out how to reset the breaker without help from the host despite calling and texting during their open hours. The water pressure in the shower is ridiculously low, which is very unpleasant when you’re on a hiking holiday. The upper set of stairs are so steep and windy that they are truly hazardous. We had to navigate them on our hands and knees going up and sitting down and scooting on our bottoms to get down. This is not made neatly clear enough in the description.
