Little Drifter North Melbourne

Kind staff, good service, room clean, cheap coffee save my life.

Kitchen is a little small.

I stayed in the superior dorm and if you like your own space I would highly recommend as it’s very private and the curtain makes the bunk super dark. The facilities were great; I never had to wait for a shower and there was always somewhere to sit. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Particular shout out to Willa on the front desk as they were always so responsive to any questions I had and took a real interest in the people staying there.

The Duve to enter the rooms was temperamental and a key card would be been much easier and quicker. If you’re wanting to use the kitchen I would advise avoiding busy time of after 5pm. There will be usable space but it gets very crowded then. It would be good to have separate and smoking and non smoking areas on the rooftop so that non smokers can sit outside and not sit in the smoke of others.

Location

I liked the design and the location.

The key card lock for the ladies bathrooms didn’t work in my floor, so it was just accessible to anyone, and the room I was in had lot of long-term residents who had so much luggage taking over the entire room.
