This room for rent was an old motor lodge that the new owners took the time to clean up and bring new life to. It is located a half me from downtown Grass Valley and has all the amenities that one needs in a stand-alone room. Everything was clean and well appointed. Even what would be a huge parking lot new has several little relaxing spots including a small unmanned bar with a little Koi pond next to it. As much as I love a 3rd floor Motel 3 1/2 that looks like every other...I'd much rather spend my time and money at a one-off establishment that has put the time to make an old place shine again.
As this motel had a lot of area, it'd be nice to see if it could build in some light breakfast set-up. The rooms were clean and light but could benefit from continued refinement and attention to detail-some screws painted over that could be removed and patched, a piece of flooring with a factory blemish noticed in the middle of the floor. If i come back this way to stay, I hope to see this place continue to get even better!

Beautiful property with relaxing, private cottages. Quiet area, serene. Koi pond was a fun plus!! The rooms were very clean and cozy.
- Blow dryer was broken
- Room smelled very strong of bleach at check in (we love that it was definitely clean but had an asthmatic with us it strongly affected)
- Fridge and freezer did not work/not cold
- Couldn’t figure out how to get the living room ceiling fan on
- No kleenex in the room
- Cemetery across the street, didn’t bother us at all but may be a factor for others staying at this location

We travelled with our dog. Beautiful property. Clean. Lots of outdoor gathering spaces. Bbq. Refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave. Friendly and helpful staff and owner. Lots of restaurants in town.

The host was generous with Coffee pods.
No, breakfast was offered. No housekeeping. There were no cooking utensils and only a microwave. When we stayed there before we had a small oven and refrigerator and had planned to be able to make our own breakfast.
