The location to the beach and downtown was unbeatable. Staff was quick to fix broken locker.
Dated facilities and limited bathrooms. Not easy to find. The rooms are very tight and it can be tough to move things around. Need strict rules on air conditioning settings so it's not being moved around and turned on and off all day and night.
Communication issues regarding laundry was not great.

Amazing view from the terrace, rooms are very small (we stayed in 6 bed female dorm) the receptionist was rarely around but when he was to be found he was friendly:D we met some amazing people here, loved the social aspect of this hostel
The kitchen was a bit dirty, not very well kept, no proper sponge to wash the dishes

Lovely hostel right on the fantastic Spile beach. Friendly staff and amazing balcony looking at the sea. Strong WiFi. Go to ENIGMA pizzeria and they will help you check in.

Wir haben eine Nacht im Mateo Hostel verbracht, nachdem wir auch schon in einem anderen Hostel in Himarë übernachtet haben. Die Lage des Mateo Hostels ist prima! Diverse Restaurants, der Strand und kleine Shops sind zu Fuss erreichbar.
Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir lange auf Personal warten, um einchecken zu können. Leider hat etwas mit unserer Buchung nicht funktioniert und wir konnten daher nicht im selben Schlafsaal übernachten. Im Frauenschlafsaal war es leider sehr dreckig (gebrauchte Kontaktlinsen am Boden, überall Haare, ...) & auch das Badezimmer war schmuddelig. Die Schlafsäle sind eher klein/eng.
