Mintra Hotel Vientiane

Great hotel, not too big, not too small. Good location and many restaurants and points of interest at walking distance. The staff is nice. The rooftop with the swimming pool is just great

only had breakfast on one of the days. it was simple buffet style but sufficient. could cook toast but no egg station

I made 4 separate bookings across a 9 day period as my broader Laos plans kept moving around - i had stays in locations outside Vientiane. Three of these were made via booking.com and 1 direct when at the hotel. The first 2 were via booking.com at ~AUD 98 night, the third was direct at hotel ~AUD104, and the 4th time was again via booking.com (as I was away from hotel, out of Vientiane) - that time was ~AUD144. Very disappointed with booking.com on that occasion.

We stayed 3 nights - Perfect location, spacious rooms, great staff, excellent pool, bar & restaurant on top floor

Fitness centre very limited

Close to night market, pretty good breakfast with helpful wait staff

No hot water, holes in face towels, no one helped me with my bags
