Wonderful week on Sebago! Our family of 12, ages 3-87 enjoyed our family vacation at this comfortable and well appointed home right on Turtle Cove. The house was exactly as advertised. Photos were accurate and communication with owners was easy. We had a couple of glitches, which did not negatively impact our stay, but were minor inconveniences (ice maker in kitchen didn't work, TV remotes were not working and screen door to deck was damaged and tricky to open and close). Besides that, the house was perfect! Lots of recreational perks, kayaks, paddleboards, firepit, playset, and tons of floats for the lake and pool. The house was very quiet and peaceful, but in close proximity to delicious food (Butchers for lobsters and The Mosquito for ice cream). We would love to come back!

Fabulous house for large family vacation. We rented a golf cart for elderly grandmother to get her to the lake and around the property. Pool was lovely. Enjoyed every aspect of this wonderful property. Beds were very comfortable. AC in the basement rooms would have been nice as it was hot weather. Also basement bathroom has no shower. Kitchen was stocked pretty well. Very particular check out (such as all dishes washed, dried, and put away rather than just starting the dishwasher) required and we discovered that we had to make our own beds, but I guess that way it is easy to see what beds were and were not used. Host was lovely and responsive and very helpful and accommodating. We loved our time here and will try to find a time to return!

The checkpoint Lake House on Turtle Cove is an ideal stay. Easy, comfortable, spacious and nice. Dock is perfect for a boat and jet skis. Yard is large and comfortable. Pool was a great amenity. And the separate mother in law house is amazing. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ll start by saying the location of this rental is amazing with access to Sebago Lake, lots of lawn space and close proximity to Windham. The house itself was worn down a bit which I was surprised with not fixing drywall where curtains use to be and several windows that would operate. However, our biggest frustration with the rental was the rules involving parties and the pool that wasn’t overly clear in the listing. When we contacted the property manager months before our stay about having around 25 people over for the afternoon to have a BBQ and celebrate a HS graduation, we were ultimately denied with the reasoning that we needed to rent the property specifically for an event and that was a different rate. That wasn’t clear in the posting nor does it really make sense for a gathering like that. We respected their rules and found a different location to celebrate that accomplishment. Our second issue was with the pool. The listing had a heated pool and when I booked I remembered it saying it would be heated from Memorial Day to Labor Day. When we arrived the pool was not ready for use as water level was well below the skimmer and the was ice cold. The kids tried to tough it out but it was unusable. We were provided new rules that had specific air temperature requirements for which they would turn the heat on which probably won’t be met until July in Maine. The property manager was prompt in responding to our concerns but their responses were confusing to say the least.
