THE LORD NELSON HOTEL

Comfortable bed , nice shower

Breakfast wasn’t worth the money

Really good location overlooking the estuary and marina. Rooms have good facilities.

Firstly we arrived late and all the parking was gone, we popped in to ask where we could park safely and without hesitation a member of staff moved her car so we could have her space. When we went into the hotel we were taken back as it exceeded our expectation for the price and beautifully presented. Our room was modern and clean. It were also surprised at the choice of television channels. We had a great nights sleep. The bed was comfortable and in the morning the breakfast was in a lovely setting overlooking the estuary. We loved that you could pay on demand and thought the price for a breakfast sandwich with a really good barista coffee was excellent!

To be honest there wasn’t anything we disliked for the price we paid.

The location was good for a one night stay. The room was adequate with a hot and powerful shower.

Arguing with the receptionist and manager as they had charged me the wrong amount. I clearly had the invoice with me that I was showing them but it took much discussion to get the excess reimbursed. Also the smoke detectors gave a very bright flash of light regularly throughout the night so sleep was not good.
