I was asked my desired arrival time. I responded with my travel plans arrival 1pm. The host never responded but seen the message. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk did try to reach out to the owner. It was recommended that I contact the owner, while I sat in the lobby. They do have vending machines for beverages. The owner offered a earlier check in with a fee. I left my bags and went to happy hour lunch to the close by cantina. The expected fee paid for my lunch. Check in was delayed but after reaching the owner, they did try to move swiftly. However, the apartment is nice and spacious. 4 beds/2bdrm twin beds. 2 baths. One of the toilets did have a problem flushing...but that could happen to any of us. I enjoyed the rooftop...it isn't an actual rooftop. It is on one of the middle floors, maybe floor 3. However, convenience store is close by and nice restaurants next door or a short walk. My event was at Soilder field, it was cool to be in close proximity but traffic can be hectic, so leave early. I would absolutely stay again. I just wish communication between the female desk receptionist and owner was better. Upon check out, the gentleman was an absolute gentleman and amazingly kind. He even purchased me a beverage from vending machine, with his own money. He was a delight! I was able to store my luggage for a few hours with his help. I appreciated the support to allow a last minute site tour and breakfast prior to a 33 hr flight. That made it better, the 2 nights I stayed were comfortable and quiet.

The location was easy to get to and the place was mostly clean and comfortable. The communication was great as well! Lots of utensils in the kitchens and large comfy couch.

The bathrooms seemed a little run down and the toilet in one of them was running. Beds were comfortable but they squeaked a lot.
